Project Description

Foodie Hub had a loyal local following but struggled to convert online visitors into dining customers. Their existing digital presence was underwhelming, making it difficult for hungry diners to discover their delicious offerings or make reservations easily.

The Big Question: How do we translate the warmth and flavor of in-person dining into a digital experience that drives real bookings?

As a UI/UX designer, I believe in the power of user-centered design. This means prioritizing the needs and expectations of Foodie Hub's potential customers throughout the design process. Understanding user behavior allows me to create intuitive interfaces and compelling visuals that guide users seamlessly towards their goals, whether it's browsing the menu or making a reservation.

Timeline

From explorations to final designs in 2 weeks.

Process

this is the process I took to achieve foodie hub website:

Problem Statements

Foodie Hub currently lacks a dedicated website. Without a strong online presence, they may be missing out on potential customers searching for restaurants in Lagos.

Research

What I Discovered

User Interviews (8 participants):

  • 90% check menus online before choosing a restaurant

  • 75% abandon websites if they can't find info quickly

  • 68% prefer online booking over phone calls

  • Food photography is the #1 decision driver

Competitor Analysis: Most restaurant sites had cluttered navigation, hidden menus, and frustrating booking flows. This was our opportunity to stand out.

Key User Pain Points:

  • "I can't find the prices anywhere"

  • "The booking process is too complicated"

  • "The photos don't look appetizing"

  • "I don't know what makes this place special"Design
